Disclosure on usage of Generative AI
While generative AI tools have shown some utility in highly specific, narrowly-defined usecases, their use in creative endeavours is not something I would ever recommend. This page lists out all of the instances of usage of generative AI tools.
Content
None of the content on this website is created by generative AI, or with assistance from generative AI tools. All of the blog posts and notes published here are written by me. As for the telltale signs of generative AI tools, me (and people, in general) have been using em-dashes, semicolons, Oxford commas, and the ✨ emoji for decades now. You'll have to pry them out of my cold, dead hands.
Website
I've never been one to care for visual aesthetics, so I never bothered to familiarize myself with CSS (and frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind) other than some basic working knowledge. The visual design of this website was created iteratively with assistance from the Claude web interface and Claude Code.
Life
While I am encouraged to use generative AI and coding agents in my professional life, I am under no obligation to do so in my personal life. As such, my use of such tools is limited, and I opt out of all the AI features that corporations force into their applications. The only AI tool I use with semi-regular frequency is NotebookLM so I can converse with the highlights and annotations I've exported from Readwise.
